Welcome Back 2017 – 2018

Welcome back everyone to the 2017 – 2018 school year. We are delighted to see everyone back safe and well after the summer. As always we want to extend a particular welcome to new staff and pupils.

We welcome Ms McTigue who will be teaching fifth class this year. Belated welcome also to Aaron who has joined this class.

In fourth class welcome to Áoibhe who is joining the class. Third class has a new teacher this year. Her name is Mrs. Duignan. Second class has two new pupils, Fíanna and Bartosz. All are very welcome. Welcome also to Sophie in first class and her teacher, Mrs McNamara who is working in the school this year.

It is lovely to welcome Mrs. McGoldrick back. She will be teaching Junior Infants again this year. Ms. Fran will also be teaching a new Junior Infant class, helped by Sinéad Dolan and Aoife Heeran. Sinéad Rogers will be teaching the Senior Autism class this year and we congratulate her on her appointment to the staff of the school.

We have some new bus escorts also – Caroline Flynn and Serenna Reynolds who will be joining our existing escorts, Séamus and Hazel.

So, finally, we welcome our Junior Infants – Aoibheann, Alana, Ayanah, Cadhla, Cara, Carlene, Emma, Darcy, Darcey, Laura, Michaela, Síofra, Adam, Cian, Charles, Charlie, Dawid, Eli, Fionn, Jack, Liam, Dylan, Mark, Myles, Dominik, Oisín, Ryan, Scott, Caitlyn, Constantine, Eoghan, Jennifer, Jenny and Lucas. We hope that they have health and happiness with us for the years ahead.

As you can see we have lots of new faces – we hope that they will all be very happy here in our school. We wish the parents of our new families the very best as they also begin their journey in St. Patrick’s NS.

Over the summer there has been a lot of work done here in the school. We would like to thank Tony McManus, our engineer, and Shane McGovern and his team for doing such a good job of refurbishing the toilets in the school – in record time! Thanks also to Raymond and Maurice for their trojan work in having the building safe and clean for our return.

We look forward to another busy, productive and interesting year.
