As part of our local studies for the month of November, 5th class have been looking at mining in the local area. Maurice Cullen came to talk to us on Thursday the 9th of November about his time spent working in the mines and he answered any questions that the children had. On Friday the 10th of November, 5th class then took a trip to Arigna mines where Maurice gave them a tour. It was a very interesting tour and 5th class learnt so much about life working in the mines at that time.
