Pollination Project

:

We recently completed a project on Pollination. In school we looked  at what is a pollinator and what are our native wildflowers. We discussed common pollinators and how we can protect them. Over two weeks, we filled in grids for our Project on Pollination. We talked about ways we can protect areas that are already good for pollinators, we will do this by:

Reducing mowing-We have area at the front of the school where we can reduce mowing and let the dandelions and clover bloom to feed pollinators.  We will not mow a strip until Mid April to attract more pollinators to our school grounds.

We planted seed bombs which will bloom into wildflowers. We hope this will attract more pollinators to our school grounds.

We hope that the above actions our school grounds will be a more attractive environment for pollination.
