The theme for November in our school was ‘Our Locality’. We looked at the main buildings and landmarks around the town and, in pairs, we created a model of each one. We decided to map out the town using these creations.
To bring the theme month of Our Locality to a close, Mrs. Walsh brought us on a wonderful tour of the town. We walked all around, from the Youth Cafe and Fire Station, to the Garda Station, the Credit Union, the Mart, the Church and everywhere in between! We had great fun learning all the history about different buildings and landmarks in the town. We were able to take a peep inside the Garda Station and speak to the guards on duty! We even got to sing a song for the ladies in the Credit Union. Have a listen below!
