The calendar of events for the remainder of this term was sent home last week and is now also available to view on the School Letters page of the website.
Our Flag Day is on November 25th at 11:45. On that day, some members of the Irish Army will visit the school and present us with our national flag. There will be a short ceremony lasting no more than 30 minutes during which they will explain the significance of the flag to the children, before formally handing it over to the school. This flag will be raised in our school, in conjunction with all other primary schools, on March 15th 2016. This is all part of the national celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the 1916 rising next year.
I would also like to draw your attention to Parent/Teacher meetings which will be taking place next week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings ( November 18th & 19th) in the school. Children will be bringing home letters and schedules today.
