Catholic Schools’ Week 2016

January 31 to February 6th is Catholic School’s Week. As part of our celebrations, many of the children took part in a special mass on Sunday.

We also had a prayer service yesterday to celebrate St. Brigid’s Day,  led by Fr. Frankie. The sixth class girls have made Brigid crosses. They made a cross for each child in the Communion class. They have also made crosses which Fr. Frankie and Sr. Helen will bring on their First Friday calls – one for everyone to whom a call is made.

Today is Grandparents’ Day in Catholic Schools Week. Some classes are making cards and pictures for their Grandparents. The infant classes are inviting any grandparents who normally collect children, to call into the class for a short visit before the end of the school day.
