February welcomed Spring in Junior Infants and a trip to the Vets! We read about a pet lamb who hurt his leg and read about his trip to the vets.
In Aistear we set up the role play area in the Vet’s Surgery. In the creative area we practised our cutting skills and created 2d shape animals. In the Small World area, we built a Vet Surgery from blocks and built a farm which had lots of animals. One of the animals had an accident and had to be taken to the Vets… the animal is doing well now after excellent care! In the Literacy/Numeracy area we used our whiteboards to practice writing letters and numbers. We practiced handwriting in our new copies. We also started UFLI and had fun making words using our letter tiles!
